Welcome to Salisbury Cottage Confections, proudly owned by me, Marisa (Missy) Simmons. I have turned my passion for decorating sweets into a Licensed Cottage Food Operation, which now operates in the heart of Salisbury, CT. I create every treat from my kitchen and each confection is made by hand, from scratch. More accurate availability is provided when submitting a request or at checkout. Orders are available by Curbside Pickup (37 Under Mountain Road, Salisbury, CT 06068) and/or local delivery only. Please inform me if you have any allergies when you place your order. While I can omit certain ingredients, I cannot guarantee that my products will be completely allergen-free. My baked goods are created in a kitchen that also uses products containing peanuts, tree nuts, wheat/gluten, soy, fruit, dairy, eggs, meat, fish, shellfish, and other food products/allergens. Payment:For NON-CUSTOM orders (any order under $175.00), payment is due the day of pick-up.&nbsp;You may pay via credit card through the website or pay by cash or check at pick-up.&nbsp;Payment is due 14 days before due date for CUSTOM ORDERS (any order OVER $175.00).&nbsp;All sales are final. Order Confirmation:All orders are confirmed once payment is received. Baker/designer reserves the right to cancel the order with an appropriate lead time. Performance of this agreement is contingent upon our ability to complete the Agreement and is subject to labor disputes or strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control. Changes in Orders:Salisbury Cottage Confections (SCC) understands that plans change, and we will gladly assist you in making changes to your order date and time whenever possible.We accept changes (flavors, fillings, and some designs) for your order with 7 days’ notice before delivery or pick up date. This does not apply to cake or cupcake orders with custom floral decorations or last-minute orders placed with less than 48 hours. This is because for some custom floral decoration, it may need more than 7 days in advance to start working on the decoration of your cake or cupcake designs.All changes must be handled and confirmed directly with Salisbury Cottage Confections. Order Cancellations:We accept cancellations for NON-CUSTOM ORDERS up to 3 days’ notice before the delivery or pickup date.&nbsp;This does not apply to CUSTOM ORDERS (i.e. special events, custom floral decorated cakes/cupcakes, orders over $175.00 or last-minute orders placed with less than 48 hours). CUSTOM ORDERS require a 15 day or more notification of cancellation.&nbsp;Salisbury Cottage Confections reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if insufficient time is given, as stated above, due to costs incurred in the purchase, preparation, and prioritization of the order. Charges for cancellations will be as follows:•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CUSTOM ORDERS ONLY (and orders over $175.00): If a customer cancels a CUSTOM ORDER within 15 days or more prior to pick-up or delivery date, 85% of your order total will be returned as a refund or store credit, valid for one year starting from the date of cancellation. The balance of the original quoted price pending will be due immediately.&nbsp;•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CUSTOM ORDERS ONLY (and orders over $175.00): a.) If a customer cancels a CUSTOM ORDER with less than 15 days’ notice, but more than 7 days’ notice, 50% of the entire quoted order will be charged upon cancellation.&nbsp;If a customer cancels a CUSTOM order with less than 7 days’ notice, the entire quoted amount will be due and no refund will be given.•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;NON-CUSTOM ORDERS (i.e. cakes or cupcakes with basic decoration) If a customer cancels a NON-CUSTOM order with 3 days’ notice prior to pick up or delivery date, the customer will NOT receive a cancellation charge.&nbsp;If a customer cancels a NON-CUSTOM order with less than 2 days or less notice, then the entire quoted amount will be due, and no refund will be given. It is entirely up to Salisbury Cottage Confections’ discretion to change or otherwise offer any other options to the customer. Refund Policy:We take pride in all our products. If you are unhappy with your order and/or purchase when picking up or within 24 hours of pick-up, working days, immediately notify us of your concern and return your complete order to us.No refunds are given on any orders unless the complete order is returned.Salisbury Cottage Confections is not responsible for orders once they leave our premises. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up, or any time thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick up. If you do not receive these instructions, please notify me. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile, and damage can happen if not handled properly, such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc.We only give refunds in accordance with the refund policies stated below.Full refunds requested after the cake or cupcakes have been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a partial refund in the form of a refund or store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the cake or cupcake is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes or cupcakes must be brought back to us within a timely manner, preferably within 24 hours of pick up - please call or email us promptly. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cakes or cupcakes that have already been eaten. *Store credit or refund is based on how quickly the cake is returned, how much has been consumed, and what we determine the quality to be. Store credits or refunds of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.Special orders that are not picked up will NOT be refunded.The following scenario is the only instance when we may provide a full or partial refund:If you come to our store for pick up or if upon delivery the cake or cupcakes do not meet your expectations (i.e. designer error), we will give you a full refund. NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake. You can only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it” policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake.It is entirely up to Salisbury Cottage Confections’ discretion to change or otherwise offer any other options to the customer. Guarantee / Disclaimer:We always put in our best efforts to make sure that your order is decorated to the specification on your written order form. Upon picking up our cake or cupcakes, adjustments can usually be made for an additional charge if it was not stated on your original order. If for some reason something is not decorated correctly as stated on your order, we can usually make necessary changes right away. Every order is hand-made. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic interpretation of the SCC cake decorator. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and duplication (we encourage this); however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake decorators.Please note that orders placed over the phone or email is helpful and creating your order requires a lot of details and information to avoid any possible errors. If you are trying to order a custom floral decoration cake or cupcakes over the phone or email, you should provide us with a sketch or picture (by email or uploaded through our website when requesting your order). Please note that the design of your cake or cupcakes may be different from what you are expecting if not enough information is provided. We do not take responsibility if the color of the decoration is a different shade that you had in mind.&nbsp;We will always do our best to match your intended color. Salisbury Cottage Confections is not responsible for any damage done to the product after it has been delivered and set up or picked up by the customer. The client assumes full responsibility for arranging for the caterer/servers to cut, serve and remove all existing supports inside of the cake. All cake supports used are made of non-toxic products. Salisbury Cottage Confections is not responsible for any injuries that may occur due to failure to remove the necessary supports. Salisbury Cottage Confections is not responsible for any damage the product may suffer due to the environmental conditions in which the cake is stored or displayed (location, temperature, weather, etc.). An extended period without refrigeration will deteriorate the cake as well as the decoration.Salisbury Cottage Confections reserves the right to use pictures of any cake created by Salisbury Cottage Confections in any way it deems fit, including, but not limited to, postings on social media and advertisements. Salisbury Cottage Confections reserves the right to terminate any agreement/order any time if becomes insolvent, bankrupt, or enters receivership, dissolution, liquidation, or termination for Change of Control. Salisbury Cottage Confections may terminate this agreement with immediate effect, by giving 14 days’ notice to the customer. Only in this case all deposits will be refunded. Allergens:The product may come into contact with my shop-wide allergens, and other allergens. You are responsible for notifying anyone enjoying your custom order of this risk and we cannot be held responsible for any adverse reactions. ﻿ ﻿
