Welcome to my sweet corner of the web! I'm Julia, a passionate sugar cookie decorator and an enthusiastic teacher of this delightful art. My journey into the world of cookie decorating began as a self-taught adventure, driven by a love for baking and a keen eye for detail. Over the years, I've honed my skills, discovering the joy and satisfaction that comes from transforming simple ingredients into edible masterpieces. In 2022, I decided to take my passion a step further by sharing it with others through teaching. It has quickly become my favorite thing to do! There's something truly magical about meeting new people who are also eager to dive into the world of sugar cookie decorating and guiding them through the process. My classes are more than just a lesson--they're a fun experience where laughter and creativity flow freely :) My main rental space at Stonehill College is a great local spot for creativity and fun! We've got plenty of room to make a mess, and *bonus* I'll do all the clean up so all you have to do is decorate and enjoy! Space is limited and each guest gets their own cookie set, icing, and supplies—so everyone attending must have a ticket.</li></ul>What will I be doing in the class?<ul><li>Besides having the most fun ever? I will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.</li></ul>Do I need to know how to bake?<ul><li>Nope! I will have the cookies pre-made for you and will give you the recipe in an email after class so you can create your own on your own!</li></ul>What will we learn in class?<ul><li>You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies, how to color icing, and tricks to fill piping bags (believe me, it’s harder than it looks). You’ll also learn different decorating techniques such as marbling, outlining, detailing, and wet-on-wet.
