Hi there! I'm Amy, the owner and lady behind the cookies at Amycakes Cookies, a home based bakery in the heart of downtown Romeo, MI. I've always loved baking, and took my hobby of several years to full time cookie artist in 2021. I make cookies for all occasions including birthdays, bachelorette party's, bridal showers, baptisms, weddings, baby showers, house warmings, engagement party's, gender reveals, and so much more. Every gathering, big and small deserves a beautiful platter of delicious cookies to match! My cookies may look too pretty to eat, but I assure you they taste even better than they look! My sugar cookies start with a vanilla bean cookie dough made with only premium ingredients, decorated with pure vanilla royal icing and the slightest hint of fresh lemon juice. Cake pops are a great addition to any order! My cake pops are made to order and come in a variety of flavors. Basic orders will come in "disc" shape unless specified.

I would love to bake for the special events and loved ones in your life! My cookies are made to order and completely custom. Please fill out this form to request more information about booking your order. When possible, I suggest placing your custom order at least 3 weeks in advance of your event date. I may be able to accommodate a rush order if scheduling allows for an additional rush fee. Custom cookie orders have a 1 dozen minimum and prices start at $48 per dozen. Prices are based on many factors including level of detail, quantity of colors and designs, and more. Cookies that vary from original recipe, including different flavor or dietary restriction are available for an additional fee.

Welcome to Beanie Extract! I'm Raquel, and I created this business to express my passion for vanilla by making and selling vanilla extract and sharing what I've learned with anyone who is interested. In the Fall of 2023, I had come across videos on the internet of people making their own vanilla extract, and it piqued my curiosity that vanilla was something that could be made at home. A little time later, I won a gift card (surprisingly) and my first thought was that this was my chance to try making vanilla extract! I did some research to decide where I would buy my beans, what I would need, and how I was going to make it. Having the information I needed, I invited some friends over and hosted a vanilla extract making party. It was super fun, and we joked that I could turn this into a business...and, well, I did! Not even a year later, I decided to invest in making a large batch of vanilla extract to hopefully be ready for the holidays. While I had no idea where I would find customers or if my extract was even going to be good, I figured the worst case scenario is that I will have vanilla extract for years to come. So, this is me not giving up on my dream of starting my own business, successful or not. I want to introduce people to the variety of flavor profiles found in something we simply call vanilla. When I hosted my vanilla extract making party, I decided to make multiple bottles of vanilla, with each bottle having a different origin of vanilla bean. Did you know that depending on where vanilla beans are grown, they can pick up subtle differences in flavor? I had learned that during my research, and decided to experience it for myself. Therefore, I invite you to come on this journey with me and explore the true flavors that vanilla has to offer. No more "natural" flavors that aren't natural, or "imitation" flavors that don't compare to the real thing. I aim to make quality extract that doesn't sit in plastic on the grocery store shelves.
