Edible Art by Mariah has become a reality thanks to the support and encouragement of my family and friends. I have a background in art and was raised in the food industry. Combining the two seems like it was inevitable. Being a stay at home mom and home baker has its challenges, but I am always happy and excited to create something beautiful and delicious for your special event!

Custom Cookie Order

Make someone's Easter very special, with their own little carton of yummy miniature Easter cut-outs. Each carton holds six cookies and is tied with pastel ribbon.Our standard dough is a sugar cookie, almond flavoring.All orders must be placed by April 13th. Local pick up is April 18th/19th.All cookies are considered 'made to order' and 'special order'.Limited quantity.Price is $18 per carton.

My Story

Welcome to Room for Dessert ! We are a licensed home processor bakery, servicing mostly local Rochester fans. My experience in baking goes back several years, when I owned and operated the Room for Dessert Catering and Bakery in East Rochester. What began as a hobby evolved into an amazing, fruitful business. Our cafe and bakery supplied desserts to several restaurants, created wedding cakes, and catered private and corporate groups up to 200 people. Our chocolate creations won medals at the Rochester Chocolate Ball and the little shop had quite a following. At the peak of our success, the operation was sold. My career then moved to the corporate world.Fast forward about twenty-five years, when I recently retired and pursued a home processor license for baked goods. I've missed the joy of baking and creativity that comes with it. We operate under Room for Dessert (dba), and offer all types of delicious baked goods made to order.We use butter, cream, fresh eggs, and quality chocolate in our products. Our recipes are tried and true, many from my Mother and Grandmother.&nbsp;We offer amazing cakes, pies, cookies, and mini-pastries and specialty treats throughout the year. Vegan Cake of your Choices 

Biscotti are crisp oblong twice-baked cookies, made originally in Italy. Unlike the classic biscotti mine are not quite as hard or dry and more of a cookie like consistency. They are delicious eaten dry and even more delicious dipped in hot coffee, tea or milk. Each cookie is loaded with bits of dried fruit, chips, or nuts for a wonderfully scrumptious experience.&nbsp; Two dozen in an order.

Italian biscotti 

These amaretti cookies are not the classic light airy crunchy cookie You may have had before. These cookies are slightly crisp on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside. They are reminiscent of a marzipan like cookie. Wonderful almond flavor.&nbsp;&nbsp;Slightly addictive, it’s hard not to eat more than one. Two dozen in an order.
