Maple Walnut Crumb Cake

Gwendolyn's All-Butter Pound (Bundt) cake is made with one pound of European butter and one pound of flour. Fresh farm eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Baked until golden brown and covered in a warm butter sugar glaze. It is a classic recipe handed down to Gwendolyn from her Grandmother.

We make six layers of buttermilk cake which has a crumb cake-style texture and brush them with our homemade Madagascar vanilla bean syrup. We make our brown sugar caramel cream by hand over the stove until it is perfect, then we quickly top the cake (since Southern style caramel cream sets in minutes). This cake should look like a delicious pile of pancakes with a crunch on the outside and a coffee cake-like texture on the inside. Each bite is sweet and melts in your mouth. The balance of the buttermilk, brown sugar &amp; cream make this cake one of our Southern classics.&nbsp;

Three layers of French Valrhona chocolate cake are filled with a layer of silky Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache and Madagascan vanilla bean buttercream. Each layer is flooded with house-made salted caramel and our homemade all-butter shortbread cookies. Our cake is then frosted with our signature dark fudge frosting and topped with even more salted caramel and more homemade shortbread cookies.&nbsp;
