My Story

Welcome to Robin's Bakery Co.! Hey y'all! My name is Robin Stout and I am the owner of Robin's Bakery Co. My husband and I were born and raised in Powhatan and we still live here with our 4 children! I'm a full-time NICU nurse by trade and run this business on the side. I've always loved baking, even as a kid. I love being able to make people feel something special through food! My love for baking dates back almost twenty years ago, when I sold my "Big Guy" brownies to a local barbecue shop at the ripe age of 11! Ten years ago, I made my first wedding cake and that's when baking for others started on a larger scale. I took a break while going to school and starting my family. Fast forward to April 2022, I wanted custom decorated sugar cookies for my son's birthday party and figured I'd try making them myself! In August 2022, I posted some of the cookies I had made the past few months and they were an instant hit! That's when Robin's Bakery Co. was born. This past year has been an absolute whirlwind and would not be possible without my amazing family. I'm so thankful for all of my customers and the opportunities I've been given. My dream is to one day have a storefront bakery! Thank you so much for your support!

Welcome to Brooks Bread Co! My name is Heather, proudly serving customers in the Powhatan area. As many of you know...After suffering infertility for a year, our prayers finally came true with 2 pink lines..until they didn't and we miscarried our sweet baby Brooks in June 2023. The last six months have been absolutely devastating and life has felt completely out of control. I went through the darkest time of my life grieving my son while still in the trenches of infertility.&nbsp; The first time I began to feel like myself was when I started baking Sourdough Bread again. The process of sourdough baking is long, but extremely calming. It gave me something to look forward to and I finally felt purpose for the first time in months. With all of the extra baking, I started giving loaves away to friends to enjoy! A few months in, my husband and I decided we were going to move forward with our IVF journey. So I started selling my sourdough items to raise money for the expensive procedures we have ahead of us. And with that, my micro-bakery was born and I decided to name it after our sweet baby that we'll never get the chance to hold in our arms -- Brooks Bread Co. My sweet Brooks -- I'm so blessed to have been your mom, even if our time together was cut far too short. I hope you know I love and miss you every single day, you are always on my mind. I hope this will honor your memory and I dream of one day being able to tell your younger sibling all about you while we're baking bread together in the kitchen. Welcome to Robin's Bakery Co.!My name is Robin. I am blessed with four beautiful babies! I work full-time nightshift as a NICU nurse and run this cookie business anywhere in between! I will never say no to an iced coffee. I love doing DIY projects and learning new skills.  Being on the river or lake with my family is actual heaven on earth.In Augsut of 2022 I posted photos of my newfound obsession, decorated cookies, to Facebook! I basically said, "I just started making these, but let me know if you ever need some cookies!". I received my first order the very next day and Robin's Bakery Co. was born! I can't even believe the growth! You all have kept me so busy, I'm typically booked up weeks in advance! I'm so, so grateful for all of the orders, shoutouts, and recommendations. My dream has been to one day own a storefront bakery and after this past year, who knows what will happen! So thank you for being here!
