My Story

Welcome to HeatherkMakes! I'm Heather Mead a freshman at UWRF studying a degree in agriculture business with a passion for baking. Growing up I always loved baking and eventually ended up joining 4-H where I first learned how to cake decorate. After years of 4-H and a handful of ribbons, I knew I had a talent for decorating. At the age of 16, I got a job at a local bakery. I started out doing mostly prepping, making dough, and baking cakes, but I soon worked my way up fast. I became the only high schooler the owner ever had working with cakes and detailing cookies. A job only the adults at the bakery commonly did. After a year of working with cakes and custom sugar cookies, I moved on to creating something of my own. Homemade Pop Tarts

Perfect dessert for this St. Patrick's Day. Cupcakes decorated with green vanilla buttercream frosting. Cupcakes are arranged in the shape of a 4-leaf clover. Topped with rainbow jimmies. The flavors are 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla.&nbsp;

Each juicy, farm-fresh strawberry is delicately dipped in decadent, rich chocolate and tailored to your taste, making it the ultimate indulgence. Customized to the customer's needs by the colors, designs, and toppings. Can be very versatile. Make sure to have an idea or photo inspiration when ordering. These soft, fluffy circles of freshly baked dough (*Not fried to make it healthier and less greasy*) are handcrafted in small batches using only the finest ingredients with irresistible flavors like classic chocolate and vanilla. Can be easily customized by theme and or color. Topped with drizzle, sprinkles, fondant, chocolate, and or a topper. The options are endless! Comes in a variety of flavors: chocolate, vanilla, lemon, strawberry, funfetti, and coconut. Can be packaged individually or commonly in a box (recommended).

I started my Etsy shop in February of 2023. Since then, I have gained so much experience and grew my sales. In December, I hit the first milestone of my first 50 sales. Currently, I received a customer service badge as well as a Review Badge. I focus on my customers and put them first. Amazing customer service is part of my value statement. Another main factor is my shop as well as my business focuses on food inclusivity. I believe everyone should be able to find a sweet treat that satisfies their sweet tooth while still meeting their needs. I have recently entered the world of veganism. I thoroughly enjoy learning about veganism and creating delicious sweets. I also enjoy graphic design. I use Etsy to also create other products such as clothing and other home items.
